Under the direction of
Darin Drown, Sound of the Rockies has been
creating captivating, exciting a cappella
music since January, 2000. The 100
(plus) voice, men's competition and
world-class show chorus performs for
appreciative audiences throughout the
greater Denver and Front Range area.
July 7, 2007 Sound of
the Rockies placed third in the Barbershop
Harmony Society International Competition
that was held in Denver Colorado. The
contest set (video
audio,
picture) was an audience
favorite and featured Colorado My
Home written by Meredith Willson for his
Broadway play, The
Unsinkable Molly
Brown.
The Sound of the
Rockies repertoire includes a wide variety
of musical styles including, Barbershop,
Broadway, Big Band, Gospel, Patriotic,
Seasonal and Swing. Sound of the
Rockies is the current Rocky Mountain
District champion chorus of the Barbershop
Harmony Society!
Quartets
from the chorus also entertain audiences throughout
the region. An annual quartet favorite is
presenting Singing
Valentines to sweethearts in the Denver area.

Sound of the Rockies
Go for the Gold show. The chorus and
competing quartets will perform their
contest songs. Please check back in
June for the show time.
July 1 - 5, 2008 -
Sound of the Rockies
and Quartets will be in Nashville for
the Barbershop Harmony Society
International Contest. Chorus
contest on July 4th, Quartet finals on
July 5th. These contests and the
quartet quarter & semi-finals will be
available for viewing on the Internet.

To Join Our Quest For The Gold!

 This is a
very exciting time for Sound of the Rockies,
winning a third-place medal on the International Stage in
our home town.
We
are looking for men who love singing and
harmonizing to to join us as we continue
to build the chorus, perfect our craft,
entertain and dazzle audiences, and
present a contest performance that leaves the
judges no option but to award
Sound of the Rockies a gold medal.
Visitors are always invited to
join
us for our weekly rehearsals. If you would like to sing
with the chorus or are just interested in listening, you are welcome! We rehearse Thursday evenings at
St. Luke's United
Methodist Church, located at 8817 S.
Broadway, Highlands Ranch. See

location. Regular rehearsals begin at 7:00 pm. Occasionally, our rehearsal location and/or time will change, so
check back to this page a day or so before you plan to attend.
